I am having a family of 20-30 and need to know how many turkey's to buy and what it is the proper per serving per person? |

Carolyn, you need 1 can for easch 6 people, andf 1/3 cup gravy per person. I posted yesterday, but it apparently got eaten up by the internet. Lori, Two 12 to 16 pound turkeys would be perfect for this size group, plus you will have twice as many legs, and two this size will fit in a large oven at the same time. In addition, the meat on this size is juicier and has better texture than the regular "Big Birds". |

A community dinner for 100 requires how many pounds of fresh brussel sprouts and butternut squash, when we also have canned corn and green beans, of course with Turkey. It has been estimated to have 8 turkeys! |

Yes eight turkeys is about right. See the vegetable table at the end of plan for 100 for help on the veggies. This is a nice selection of vegetables, I might use frozen green beans instead of canned. See also the planning and shopping for large community meals article in the holiday cooking section at the top of big pots. |

Assuming you will be peeling and cutting up fresh yams, about 9 pounds. |
