Hi, Linda, This is a very big party, have you done one this size before? I'm sure your husband was a little shocked at the idea of spending $800+ on a party... You have picked a time of day when you will be able to use a little less food, becouse it is not over a regular mealtime. I would suggest that you plan on meatballs hoagies/ submarines since you will be feeding a lot of teenagers. Since you are not sure of numbers, I would skip the fruit salad, since this is hard to estimate and won't keep if left over. The info on the fruit trays is on the fruit pages, and for the veggie trays is on the veggie page. One of the least expensive fruits is whole watermelon. 1 pound per person. To ice them down, you use clean trash cans. layer ice and some salt with the melon. They will be isy cold and delicious. You might do 100 persons of (4 trays) of pineapple fruit trays and 100 pounds of watermelon. You need one roll per person, or you can cut up long baguettes, 1 1/2 ounces shredded lettuce, about 6 pounds of grated Parmesan. I suggest you provide a about 8 pounds sliced mild cheese for addition and for the vegetariansd among the kids- there will be some. Pasta salad 4 gallons per 100 people, you might want to have 2 kinds. Remember that pasta salad should NOT sit at room temp for more than 2 hours. You can use the frozen meatballs or make and freeze your own ahead. 20 people per 5 pounds. 6 pounds chips or 8 pounds corn chips per 100.
Iced tea and lemonade or punch may be less expensive than soda. |
