I would like to have a working recipe on how to safelu can gluten steakes and the like. I know you can buy veggie meats in the can, but you can make it cheaper and teastier homemade. Has anyone canned it or know whe to find out how to? Thank you for you help. |

You would have to deal with these as if canning meat; the dense texture and lack of acid requires pressure canning to insure safety. Since I use the unchuck recipe (bread machine plus crock pot) it is so simple to make that I rarely use anything else. |

As above, I do not can gluten steaks and do not recommend it. Commercial canners work with much higher temperatures and pressures than we can achieve at home. I DO freeze them, and they freeze well. |
