I have several pieces of older corningware with the blue cornflower on the side-can these casseroles and the tea and coffee pots be used on a gas cooktop and in a gas oven? |

These are not visionware. Some corning tea/coffee pots had problems with the handle system separating from the pot, letting it drop/spill. You can use them in the oven. There is disagreement on whether they will hold up on the stovetop. |

i have a 9 cup stove top coffee pot; however i do not have the lid to the basket and every time i make coffee and pour it, the coffee beans spill into the cup. is there a way to make the beans stay in the basket and not in my cup??? i see alot of these types of coffee pots without the lids to the baskets and wonder if i am doing something wrong |

You could remove the basket when it is done brewing. You can look on EBay for parts- often available. You could adapt a stainless steel mesh strainer of the appropriate size. |
