Macaroni and cheese for 100

10/29/08 		I would like to make macaroni and cheese as a side dish with coney's for the homeless shelter. How many pounds of macaroni and can I use velveeta for a sauce do you have a recipe? I personally have never made macaroni and cheese before. Thanks in advance, Julie

10/29/08 		There are several recipes for mac and cheese for 100 on the site- see big pots. Yes, Velveeta is a safe easy cheese for a beginner's sauce.

03/08/09 		I came across a great way to make mac n cheese when my oven broke. I used preshredded Cheddar,Jack,Queso Quesadillas and Asadero cheeses.(It's made by Sargento)-a little less than 16 ounces per 1 lb. of noodles. After I boiled the noodles,I drained them but kept about 1/4 cup of the water in the pot. I put the noodles back in the pot with 1/3 sick of butter,adding the cheese as I stirred,burner off. If you like,add preseasoned bread crumbs and serve. REALLY delicious! Good luck!! Diane
