I just got a brand new dishwasher after haven't used one in quite a while. I noticed after I had put in my caphalon frying pan, that the finish has a hazy look to it. When it gets wet..it looks like the way it should be. Have I ruined my pan? Is there a way to get that finish back? |

Common occurrence, due to the nature of the dishwasher soap, don't know of any fix. Maybe a reader will help... |

By the way, dishwasher use on Caphalon voids the lifetime warranty. |

Caphalon helpline: 800-809-7267. They suggested scrubbing the lid with a new, dry Scotch-Brite pad until the white residue disappears. This takes elbow grease. Then rub it with some mineral or olive oil and presto: good as not-quite-new. |
