I am going to cook pinto beans for a party. My mom recommended that i use my giant Oster roaster. She could not, however, tell me the temp to use or how long it would take. For 50 people she recommended 6 cups of beans and 12 cups of water? Input would be greatly appreciated. |

The roaster is perfect for this job. See the whole page on roaster beans: www.ellenskitchen.com/bigpots/beans100.html You need to presoak the beans for best results. You will be adding liquid throughout the cooking process. |

The pinto beans came out great. Cooked in about 3 1/2 hours at 325. Thanks. |
