My neighborhood has a traveling dinner party, we all meet for cocktails then hosts (cooks) are given 6-8 people to come home with you and you serve them dinner. You only have 1 & 1/2 hours to eat, then met for dessert. What can I serve when I do not know what people eat and have a time limit. Dinner needs to be cooked ahead of time. |

I would do an oven dish such as coq au vin or lasagna that would be ready to eat when we arrived at the house with a marinated vegetable salad (asparagus, cold artichokes, green beans, etc) or antipasto and a baked rice pilaf and for color maybe some baked tomato halves or grilled peppers. All done ahead, all nice for company. |
