Potluck -sort of- for 80

Hi Ellen,

My wife is organizing an afternoon meeting with food for about 80. It's kind of a potluck, but she intends to assign some of the stuff to make sure all the bases are covered. I prepared an initial list and hope you would check the amounts.

5# Chips with a pint of dip
10 dozen buns (I know, but they come in twelves)
One large crockpot each of shredded chicken and loose meat for sandwiches
10 pounds of assorted veggies and two pints of dip for that

Drinks are covered. I originally said there should be two crockpots of each meat only not full, thinking it'd be easier/safer, but then I thought one nearly full crockpot of each would be fine.

Thanks!

You need more dip- quart for this amount, and if there are no other dishes you need 6-7 pounds.
You will be very close on the meat with one beef and one chicken, a full pot is only 5 quarts, 20 cups, or about 50-60 sandwiches.

This is the minimum amount for the veggies. Double the dip.

You are having other dishes? pasta or potato salds or such? Desserts?

Yes, there will be some others, but who knows what will show up, we just wondered what we needed to cover the core. She thinks she can swing two crocks of each meat tho I said there'd be a lot of leftovers. I appreciate your time!
