question regarding storage of ham

Hi

I am having a party at the end of May and am trying to make much of the food myself. I found boneless ham that was in the referigerated section of BJ's in its sealed wrapper. The use by date is the end of June. Do I need to freeze the ham or can I continue to store it refrigerated as long as it is unopened?

Thanks
Linda

You need a steady 38 degrees or less to hold well for a long time- most home fridges are opened too often. Ham does not freeze well. Buy it closer to the party date.

And when you do buy it, bring it straight home- no riding around in the car!

Thanks!
