I purchased Sango Dinnerware a few years back. Neither the box nor the dishes had any printed info. regarding the safety of their use in microwaves and dishwashers. The clerk at the store assured me they WERE SAFE for both. They definitely are NOT safe for EITHER. The microwave will heat them to a temperature that will scald/burn your hand and, after repeated use, will crack and break. The food on it, however, is barely warm. The same holds true for the dishwasher. Dishes retain extremely high temperatures and as I've removed them, will crack and break in my hand. In fact, if you take them out after "cooling" you can HEAR them cracking inside! Please be aware - they are NOT micro or dishwasher safe no matter what advertiser's are stating. Check the blogs on your server regarding the dangers of Sango dinnerware!!! |

As I said on another thread, modern dishes that are microwave sfe usually say so right on the bottom of the plate. Verbal promises never count in the world of retail... |
