My menu is: BBq Beef--made with dry Hidden Valley Ranch Small buns Potato Salad Pasta Salad-rotini, Calif medley mix, cukes,tom fruit bowls-watermelon, hd,cant,pinapple, grapes Veggie and dip trays chips and homemade salsa 1 sheet cake rice krispie bars snicker salad??? Could you help me out with amounts--we sent out 250 invites to family, friend, and classmates Is this to much for a grad party??? |

I forgot to include estimates 70 lbs chuck roast 200 small buns] 40lbs potatoes 14lbs rotini pasta 3lb of cal. medley +cukes, tom Veggies ?? |

Stephanie, I have received inquiries for up to 400 peope for a graduation party, so 250 is less than that, but it does puzzle me to see folks spending thousands on this type party. But I can't help because you don't say how many actual people you are planning for- did the invitations go to families with several folks on one, what percentage you expect to come, etc. You have got not-quite enough for 200 listed; beef and rolls about right for 150, pasta and potato salad together OK for 200 (but not enough mix-in veggies), 1 sheet cake is only enough for 80-100. Fruit trays and veggie trays, amounts and dips are covered in detail on the two articles about them. Chips at least 8 pounds corn chips per 100- teens would eat twice that, and 1/4 to 1/3 cup salsa per person. Maybe this will help you get started. |
