I made this in elementary school and have been searching for it ever since. I hope I remember correctly, but I think we made it from scratch...shaking the liquid until it turned to butter, the jar was taken away, and we left with this delicious, rich sweet butter with a distinct cinnomon taste-could see cinnamon. it was so delicious. I may be confusing the butter from scratch with another cooking project we did, but whatever it was, has stayed with me for @20 years!
If anyonw has a clue to what this could be, please respond!

I can imagine making butter by shaking ing elementary school science, but the cinnamon butter these days start with already made butter- here are some options:
Apricot and cinnamon make a refreshingly tangy butter spread.

1/2 cup real butter, softened
1/8 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
PLUS SWEETENER:
3 tablespoons apricot preserves or orange marmalade
OR 2-3 tablespoons confectioners or brown sugar
OR 2 teaspoons maple syrup and 1 drop of vanilla
OR 1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate and zest (finely grated peel)of an orange

1. Combine all ingredients in small mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed until smooth (1 to 2 minutes). Serve at room temperature.

You can also make a cinnamon honey butter with 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup honey and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, beaten until creamy.

PS: for cinnamon sugar to sprinkle on your toast, use about 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon for each cup of granulated sugar or 1/3 pound powdered sugar.
