We going to have a baby in mid-summer of 2005 and we do not want the traditional baby shower, we would like a get together of men and woman (friends family that sort of thing). My question is what would be good to serve the guests? The gals that are planning the party want us to think up a menu. Any ideas? Thanks!! |

For an early summer mixed gender baby celebration, the obvious answer is some kind of grill-out. Chicken breasts or if vegetarian, grilled veggies. You might encourage your guests to be fairy godmothers/godfathers and add a gift of time/teaching- when s/he is 2. I will take him/her to the zoo. If it were by the pool or ocean, you might do some floating with the baby sorts of things in the pool... Or consider another non-traditional venue; Seaworld, a museum, a community fair, the bowling alley. |
