I was reading the article on potatoes in soup on this website that said they would be mushy if frozen in the soup. I want to make my grandpa some chicken vegetable soup for him to eat after surgery and am trying to figure out the best recipe for freezing a big batch. Should I cook the potatoes in a pan and freeze them separately and then tell my grandma to toss them together when she's serving it? I don't want them to be too hard either.... Thanks! |

They will freeze fine in the soup. Red potatoes stay a little firmer than bakers. Kind service for your granddad. |
