Mail order sources for ethnic food

11/23/04 		Hi Ellen- I have really enjoyed your site (we'll be trying your Biscotti Binge next week). I was wondering if you have any favorite mail order suppliers of ethnic foods, particularly Asian. There are a few things I just can't find around here on a regular basis- tamarind, fermented black beans, etc. I'm hoping for sources with consistantly good quality products. Reasonable prices would be a big plus! Any thoughts?

I will probably have to do the biscotti baking binge twice this Christmas, I just bought my fruits and nuts.

We are so lucky in San Antonio, good Chinese groceries and big ethnic (not just Tex Mex) sections in several of our large markets. It is surprising what all have in common.
