Has anybody used other legumes to make TOFU or SOY MILK besides soybeans? I live in a country where there is restrictions on soybeans to public due to recent viruses. Anyways I would be interested to see if anyone has discovered using another bean- someone experienced with TOFU making (I am not very experienced) and soy milk making. Thanks. Please email as well cause I check email more frequently. |

TOFU & MILK making w/other LEGUMES besides Soy Hello, Angelina, Soybeans have about 14% protein and natural oils, which does not occur in any other beans except peanuts, so you will not get tofu from a bean liquid made with other type beans- there is no protein to coagulate into tofu. I hope you can find a source of soybeans. |
