10/09/10 		How many Hoggie size length (6")can I get out of a ring of sausage?

I am cooking for a golf outing and need enough for 33 people and I have no idea how many pounds to buy!

also how about the onions and green peppers I will need to buy for the red sauce(spag., diced tomatoes)

10/09/10 		I usually buy 6 ounces of sausage or meatballs and an equal weight of mixed pepper and onions for each sandwich and allow about 1/4 cup sauce per sandwich. I don't like too much sauce.

10/10/10 		Becky, the sausages vary hugely in how big around they are, and the bigger around they are, the shorter the length of the sausage. That is why I buy by weight. The sausages can be sliced into 1-2 ounce pieces on the diagonal and use several pieces, if they are too fat to use one single length per sandwich
