My babsitter put my Calphalon cookware in the dishwasher and now it looks white and scaly. Does anyone know if they can be restored? and if so, how? Thank you, Cindi |

If this is due to scaling/ hardwater problems in your area, you may be able to polish it off the metal surfaces with a copper pot cleaning liquid, usually found near the silver polish in grocery and hardware stores. Just be sure to clean and rinnse very well after use before cooking. |

My Calphalon cookware has burnt stains on it and I can't remove them. Is there some type of detergent or some way to remove the stains? Thanks...Lili |

If the stain is on the all metal part, you can try Naval jelly, found at hardware stores, just be sure to clean off well before cooking in it. |

If it's hard anodized aluminum, it will be permanently "stained" by the dishwashing detergent. I don't think it affects the pans in any other way besides their appearance. For burnt stains on hard anodized aluminum, you might try Ajax with bleach or Bar Keeper's Friend. Hard anodized aluminum can take pretty heavy cleaning. |
