Ham & Turkey for 150 people

11/01/10 		I need ham and turkey for 150 people. The guests will be all bringing side dishes. I would guess I would need more ham since Thanksgiving is the next day and most people will be eating turkey then.

Usually, I suggest 4 ounces ready to eat turkey plus 3 ounces ready to eat ham for each person. There are turkey yield tables in the article with links on the top of the big pots page.

Ham, you get about 12 ounces from a pound of boneless ham.

I guess you could reverse- 4 ham, 3 turkey. I might have decided to offer ham and chili, or ham and beef stew, or ham and roast chicken...

How do I fix ham for 300 people (some are children)? I do not want to slice it after it is cooked. Can it be pre-sliced and put in aluminum pans and heated without drying it out.
