Almost all convection ovens work the same and there are several convection cookbooks in your local library- try that first. I will look for the manual link. |

Gladys, cant' help-call the customer service number in the manual. J.L. These used to be available from the manufacturer. Check there first. Then EBAY and google for parts; I have found some very hard to find parts on line. |

As I was saying, basically you can use any convection oven recipe book for recipes. To adapt conventional recipes, start with the temp about 25 degrees lower and cut the cooking time about 1/4. |

Help! I can't take the top off my Hometrends convection oven (6112). My mom just gave it to me--it's never been used and was just sitting in her closet. I think it was a years-past Christmas gift. Any suggestions? |

Did you get a manual? If not download one at the link above, I just checked, it still works. You might try plugging it in and turning it on, if all else fails. Do it on the porch. First time they are heated they tend to give off manufacturing fumes... |

Thanks for your response. I did get a manual, but there is nothing in it about this. I also tried turning it on for the 10minute period the manual suggests. I thought maybe It would be "adjusted" somehow. But I still can't it off. I'll wait until it cools down completely, bit so far it isn't budging. |

can anyone help me my home trends convection oven model ka 6106 will not heat up and timer doesnt move but both the lights are on. I left it on for twenty minutes, fan is blowing nothing else is happening. this was a yard sale find and came without manual. Checked out the manual posted but doesnt help me in this area |

Hey Ellen! Thank you for the link. Unfortunately the one I found didn't come with the racks :-/ which it seems that I need for just about everything. Is Home Trends and Galloping Gourmet the same company? Do you or anyone else on here have a PHONE NUMBER for their customer service department so that I can order these missing parts? |

I have done this. Get a turkey that fits into the oven without touching sides or back. Preheat the oven to planned temp (depends on your preferred method of roasting), allowing 25-40 degrees less for convection than for standarsd oven. Use a thermometer- oven proof, or wired, some of these appliances have that- placed where you can see it without opening the oven. Start checking about 1/2 hour before you think it will finish. Remember it can stand safely outside the oven up to 40 minutes and will carve better for the stand, so start earlier rather than later.
