another ? on potato salad

12/13/10 		Hey Ellen- I know that you say to serve 4-4 1/2 gals of potato salad per 100 person but my dilemma is the salad I'm buying sells by weight. Per your suggestion of 4-4 1/2 gals per 100 how much would that estimate be in weight? Or is this even possible to figure? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

12/13/10 		The easy way to figure is to buy a pound and measure it. Often, depending on the recipe, a pint makes a pound.
