Ceramic Cook top

Hi Ellen, I have a Whirlpool ceramic cooktop. I LOVE it -- however, recently some fudge splatter caused a black burn mark. The Maytag store suggested I use the razor, which I did. It didn't remove the black spot, instead it created a bigger mark (seemed to take the actual surface grey colour off). Recently, I had another burn mark caused by an oven mitt being passed over a hot element in error. I used the white ceramic stovetop cleaner and let it sit a while, it made it worse. I will try the MAAS polish indicated on your tips website, but do you have any other suggestions. Looks terrible !! Thank you

You might read the various threads, there are more ideas. Don't cook on the burner until it is clean.
