Ceramic Cooktops - type of pots & pans to use

Hi, I read through the post yesterday and they were very helpful, thanks Ellen. We are having a home built and the appliances are Whirlpool and the range will be a Ceramic Cooktop. I have been very concerned and worried about not destroying this range and wanting to use it appropriately. I have downloaded and read the manual and pretty much know to buy flat bottomed pots/pans, anodized, and no more than 1" larger than the element it will be used on. I have narrowed it to the Circulon Elite (I am registered with Bed Bath and Beyond under a House Warming Registry) and they carry them. I will still investigate Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls to see what I can find there. I noticed this morning on Walmart.com the Better Homes and Garden 13 Piece Hard Anodized Cookware and would like to know has anyone used it and to what success. KMart has Oneida Hard Anodized 10 Piece Set, does anyone have experience with them? And if anyone has opinions on good non melting silicone utensils, I would appreciate it. Does anyone know of a sturdy range cover to protect from something dropping and cracking flat top? I appreciate the cleaning tips as well. Happy Cooking to me and everyone else!

Consider going to a factory outlet to buy individual pans and pots, much less expensive. Ross often has circulon and analon.
