I recently found a recipe for mushrooms using Brandy as one of the ingredients. Since no alcohol is comsumed in our house, what can be substituted? I used apple cider. Any other suggestions |

Dear Sharon, To get the sweet and rich flavor contributed by brandy, you might want to experiment with white grape juice, apricot juice, or slightly sweetened black tea and a small amount of fine vinegar- you will have to work on "to taste" for your family's preference. Keep on cooking- Ellen |
