I have a recipe for hashbrown casserole that calls for frozen hashbrowns. Could I use fresh shredded potatoes instead? If so should i use red potatoes or idaho and is there anything i would need to do to them? |

To make this dish successfully, you need to shred and blanch the potatoes as if for freezing, this is described in detail in my OAMC potato recipes. |
