12/28/11 		if a recipe calls for 4 cups of water and i want to make twice as much do i add 8 cups of water

12/28/11 		Usually as the amount of rice doubles, the amount of water doesn't quite double- 7 3/4 to 7 1/2 cups water- unless the pan is very wide and shallow.
