Cooking tamale pie in a 18 quart roaster

Is it possible to use a roaster to bake a tamale pie? I was hoping to put everything together, place it in the roaster with unbaked cornbread ontop and then place it in the oven to bake. If so, what temp. should I use?

01/16/12 		Yes. Partially precook the burger to get off some of the grease. Preheat the roaster to the usual oven temp for at least 20 minutes before inserting the cooking pan. Make sure the pie is not over 4 inches thick. Place a cotton dish towel over the roaster before placing the lid, keep covered.

01/19/12 		Thanks, Ellen. I was wondering, though, if I can put the actual roaster cooking pan in my kitchen oven to bake the tamale pie and once the cornbread (on top of the tamale pie) is baked, then put the roaster insert into the roaster oven and keep it on low until ready to eat.
