My fiance and I are wrestling with whether to hire a caterer or get friends and family to cook. One means more $$ and less hassle, but the other is very intimidating. Is it possible to serve that many people heavy appetizers (sandwiches, chilli, veggies, fruit, juice) for less than $1,000? Thank you |

Yes, and if money is an issue, you should consider having a 1 or 2 PM wedding with an afternoon reception to follow, much less food eaten. You do need to hire a half dozen experienced servers (local churches can be a good source) to handle the food day of so you and your family can enjoy the wedding. |
