I'm planning a turkey breast dinner with mashed new red potatoes for a teacher appreciation banquet. (Catered by church volunteers) I would love an easy asparagus recipe. Also, what dessert would go well? Apple pie, maybe? I'm trying to have a spring dinner that is not too close to a thanksgiving meal, although I am thinking of a cranberry compote and hoping to avoid gravy. Any spring substitutions for the cranberry? Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated! |

I would do a cranberry jello mold with a mayo dressing. Or a rhubarb dish- same tang, much more unusual, people will eat only about 1/4 cup each. Casserole the asparagus, or serve roasted at room temp. Do a dessert buffet, teachers generally love their sweets, see the dessert plan page. |
