How many pounds of beef short ribs (on bone) are needed for a party of seven. My wife has a recipe to cook them in our slow cooker but the recipe is for boneless short ribs. We will also be serving fried chicken and BBQ pulled pork. |

The other meats make it complicated. If you like short ribs, make 1 pound bone-in per person and freeze any leftovers for a no-cooking night. |

Boneless Beef Short Ribs Ellen.. How many pounds of BONELESS short ribs would you serve on a buffet for 50 people. Mains will also include a chicken and salmon dish. I'm thinking about just 1 or 2 ribs about 2"x2" but not sure. Served over crispy polenta. |

When entrees include beef and other stuff, most caterers expect 2 pounds boneless beef per 4-5 persons. You could go with 5. |
