Hello. Dad finally decided that he wants the following for his 80th Birthday. Myself/family are cooking all the food, we are just stuck on how many lbs of each will be enough for 150 people. There will be an open bar & A DJ as well And a Very big cake.

For Main Dish we are serving 3 different ones;

Hot Roast Beef (sliced from Deli) & GRavy

Meatballs & Sauce

Veal(cut up like stewed beef),with Peppers,Onions & Tamatoes

We are going to need alot of rolls for the sandwiches lol

Also, need to know approx, how many lbs of each salad we are making 4 different ones.

We are making these 4 side salads.
Cole slaw
Potatoe Salad
Macaroni Salad
Italian Pasta Salad

If anyone could help with how many lbs of each to make sure we make enough, that would be a huge help. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Have a blessed day.

I forgot to mention as well above that the party will be from 5 pm-10pm on a Saturday in June. Any help for the above would greatly be appreciated. My main problem is how many lbs for the above main entrees we are serving. Lb wise that is, so that we have plenty for everyone. The salads I figured out on your other pages. I am just confused because of the 3 entrees.
You have done an amazing job on your site Ellen : ) I am going to recommend this one to all my friends, and family for sure. Have a lovely evening, I look forward to your ideas/suggestions/recommendations...about the 80th Birthday post I made. Thank you again.

Im so sorry to bother you again Ellen, but I forgot to ask you. How many dozens of Sub Rolls will I need to order today so they are fresh? I am getting 35lbs of Roast Beef, & now instead of veal, dad wants Italian Sausage/peppers/onions,(30lbs) and wants rolls with those as well. Then we will have the Meatballs also 30-35lbs but I wanted to make sure I have plenty of rolls For (Meatballs, Sausage, and then the Roast Beef. Again this would be for approx.. 150 people. Buffet, from 5-10

I have looked all over but cannot figure out how many gallons of sauce I will need to do for 35lbs of meatballs (they want to use jar sauce to make it easier) but I want to add a little touches to it of course lol... Any help. I know I am going to need gallons...just not sure how many to be exact to cover the meatballs.
Also, trying to figure out how much stewed tamatoes for the sausage peppers and onions... Gallons??? Last details to figure out. Sorry to bother you again. I looked at majority of posts but couldnt figure out what I needed help with to complete final details. I hope your having a wonderful weekend. I cannot wait till this party is finally here. Thank you again for all your help. Your page & you have been life saver's

I have never used tomatoes with my sausage and peppers but my rule of thumb is equal weight sausages and total veggies- you would drain the tomatoes- usually it shows drained weight somewhere on the can.

For a pound of meatballs, about 2 cups of sauce. 35 pounds, 70 cups= approx 18 quarts or 4 1/2 gallons, That's juicy.
