For my son's grad party, I'm serving sausage rotini, fried chicken, fruit salad, tossed salad, Italian bread, and a variety of chips/pretzels. Of course, we'll also have the graduation cake, which won't be cut until a couple hours into the party. Do you have any suggestions for make-ahead sweets that I can serve (expecting 150)? The food will be served buffet-style and outdoors, so it's likely to be hot and humid (Jello = Fail). The day before the party I'm going to be cutting up fruit, making salad, and cooking rotini, so bonus points for simplicity. Also bonus points for budget-saving ideas! |

Make ahead and freeze, brownies, lemon or fruit bars and chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies- cut 3-4 bite size, not large, make one of each per person. |

Thanks, Ellen! I didn't know you could freeze baked goods! That will definitely help with pre-party prep. Any tips for freezing and thawing? |
