Hi, I am really in a bind and hope someone can help me. My brother is getting married next friday, 6/29/12, and his caterer backed out at the last minute. I came up with the idea that as a gift to them I would do a taco bar for the entire wedding. The problem is I have no idea on what to buy and the amounts. I am a pretty good home cook and will be serving meat, tortillas, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, salsa, and cheese. I may also do some rice and chips with beans. Can anyone please help me with the amounts of each item I should purchase? THANK YOU SO MUCH! |

Michael, go straight to the taco bar page and do 2/3 the amount for 100. Definitely DO do the rice and beans. Definitely have guacamole if the budget allows. About 1 pound of chopped lettuce per 6 to allow for some side salads. You can add chips (1 pound per 10) and nacho cheese (2 #10 cans) and a half gallon of sliced jalapenos to the bar and people can also do nachos. |
