I need to serve 500 root beer floats in half an hour at school. First, what quantity would I need of ice cream and root beer? What size cup would be appropriate for middle schoolers? Finally, what ideas do you have to sipped up serving? We were thinking about putting a scoop in glasses the night before and freezing them so we only need to pour the root beer the next day. Will that work (freezer burn?!?) |

12 ounce cup, You can pre-scoop the ice cream onto cookie sheets, freeze, and then bag up to carry- much less space than the glasses. Ice cream is less than 3 gallons per 100 with 1/2 cup scoop. Root beer is 8 ounces per glass- about 30 per 2 liter bottle. You need a sugar-free alternative for the diabetic and other special needs kids. Get some sugar free root beer! |
