How many pounds of actual turkey meat do you get when roasting a 12-14# turkey? I plan to slice it with gravy for hot sandwiches. How many sandwiches can you make per pound of finished meat if using regular sized hamburger buns? |

Turkey & Gravy for sandwiches 5 sandwiches per finished pound. Whole turkey makes 1/2 its weight in meat, if you pick the bones, and a pound is 2 cups meat. |
