planning party for 30 people. Serving pulled pork, baked beans, potato salad, a noodle salad, fruit, chips, carrot sticks & pickles. will also have cupcakes for dessert. Is 10 lbs of meat for pulled pork enough? I plan to make the beans and the pulled pork the day ahead and put them cold from fridge into slow cookers... is it best to heat on high or low? and how long should they each be heated in slow cookers? Also what amounts of beans and the 2 salads would you recommend? Thanks! |

will be reheating in 5 & 7 qt crockpots |

Reheat on high, allow 3 hours, when 165 in center, turn low. Faster and safer to reheat on stove/ in oven and transfer to pots on low. 10 pounds is OK, no leftovers. 1 gallon beans. 10-12 pounds potatoes. 2 pounds dry pasta plus fixings. A couple/3 quarts of slaw would be very nice with this menu! |

won't have access to stove/oven but could use a 18 qt electric roaster.... however would not be able to stir the last hour to hour and half before serving. For that reason I was thinking that crock pots would be best - what do you think? Would 10 lbs of meat be to little of an amount to keep in a electric roaster? |

You will have a gallon of beans and about 2 gallons of pork in sauce. Consider heating both in the roaster tightly covered. When y9u transfer them to the crocks, you can use the raoster to warm the rolls (you are having rolls?) |

Tightly cover each container as well as the roaster. |

pork loin in 18 qt electric roaster Need to make 8 lb pork loin for a special dinner using an 18qt electric roaster. If I cut the loin in half making two four pound roasts, do I roast it time wise as if I were making a four pound roast or an 8 pound roast? Never used a cooker like this before and have no instructions. |

Counts as a 4 pounds roast, even if there are several. |
