I was asked to plan a 75th birthday party for my mother-in-law. The party will be held on a Wed. evening at 6:30. We are expecting around 50 people. Here is my menu.

Meats: Turkey(10lb),Pork Roast(8lb),Whole Ham(19lb)and smoked chicken (10lb)

Sides/Veggies: mashed potatoes, macaroni & Cheese, Veg.casserole, green beans, corn, and either a pineapple or sweet potato casserole

Bread: rolls

Dessert: 2 layer half sheet cake

App./Fillers: Fruit & Veggie tray with dips, spinach dip w/ crackers, and dev. eggs.

Drinks: Tea, lemonade, water, and coffee

Is this enough or too much. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Hi, there,

It's a little much for 50, here are some possible tweaks.

Meats: Turkey(10lb),Pork Roast(8lb),Whole Ham(19lb)and smoked chicken (10lb)
Skip the pork roast- or the turkey-

Sides/Veggies:
mashed potatoes,
macaroni & Cheese,

Veg.casserole, 3 9x13
green beans, 10 pounds
corn, 10 pounds
You could skip oof these- increase one of the remaining 2 by 1 1/2

and either a pineapple or sweet potato casserole
skip, or sub for the veg casserole

Bread: rolls, 2 small each, 1-2 pounds butter

Dessert: 2 layer half sheet cake

App./Fillers:
Fruit & Veggie tray with dips, use fruit tray and veggie tray page, but only veggues for 30- or half a classic relish tray
spinach dip w/ crackers, and 2 1/2 quarts dip, 3 pounds crackers
dev. eggs. 3 dozen eggs

Drinks:
Tea, 2 gallons
lemonade, 2 gallons
water,
coffee dinner level, see beverage tray page

Cake good.
