I'm making Shepard's Pie for 70 ...I need to know how many foil hotel pans I need...(21/2 in pans). I'm thinking on 14lbs of burger..21 bs potatoes and 14lbs of veggies. Is that too little amounts?? |

Someone else is bringing in french bread and for dessert someone is bringing cookies. I've made this recipe for 10 servings with 2lbs of veggies and same amount of burger along with 3lbs of potatoes. We ended up with 13 servings The large amount that I'm making is for kids between grades 6th thru 8th with 3 adult women. |

This is plenty for this size group, but I suggest a few tweaks
14 lbs of burger- plenty If this saves you time, trouble, or money, consider a donation to support the site. |

Hmm..I am still wondering about the pans...would two be enough...or three? I'm thinking that one 2&1/2 inch serves 25..is that right? |

Yes, 25 when some are children. 3, not 2, for sure. |
