Hi Ellen, My son's high school grad party is this Friday and at this point, I am very uptight about food quantities. Would you look over my estimates and tell me how far off base I am? We are estimating about 175 people.
Pulled pork sandwiches - 200 sandwiches approx. 5 oz of cooked meat on each (thinking about 70 lbs of raw loin to make it?) Baked beans - about 12 gal. Coleslaw - about 12 gal. Mixed fruit salad - about 24 gal. veggie trays -
carrots - 20 lbs we are also having chips, bread and butter pickles and dill pickles. Cake Pops - 300 1 full sheet cake sundae bar with hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles, oreo crumbles, and whipped cream we are also having a candy buffet with assorted treats along with favor bags to take home. Thank you for your guidance! |

Pulled pork sandwiches - 200 sandwiches approx. 5 oz of cooked meat on each (thinking about 70 lbs of raw loin to make it?)- use shoulder, makes better pulled pork, 60 pounds boneless plenty **we are making the sandwiches and wrapping them up for the event** Baked beans - about 12 gal.-8 plenty Coleslaw - about 12 gal.- 6 plenty Mixed fruit salad - about 24 gal.- Do fruit trays? Much prettier, hold better, easier to eat and the leftovers are more useful. See fruit tray page. If you do fruit salad, 12 gallons max
veggie trays -
we are also having chips, 1 pound per 10-12 Cake Pops - 300 1 full sheet cake sundae bar with hot fudge, caramel, sprinkles, oreo crumbles, and whipped cream- see the ice cream sundae bar page candy buffet with assorted treats along with favor bags to take home. Nice If this saves you time, trouble, or money, consider a donation, maybe a dime per person, to support this site. |
