I love your collection of recipe ideas and I'm anxious to try this recipe, but I can't figure out what it means when it says "select and mix your egg dish". Do you layer these ingredients or mix them all together or some combination of these? It just seems like there's a step missing or else I can't picture it. Thanks! |

Baked Cheesy Eggs Casseroles & variations This is a REALLY GOOD QUESTION. You saw there were a lot of choices, so first you go down and make your selection at each ingredient point. The usual way to prepare is to stir everything together and pour it into the pan, allowing the eggs to make it a sort of baked frittata. But it might be very tasty if layered, and would be a whole different dish if the eggs were place whole on top- more saucy, but tasty. If I did not mix in the eggs, I would heat the rest of the casserole for about half the time, then break each egg into a hole made in the sauce with the back of a large spoon, then finish cooking, so as not to overcook the eggs. After looking over the recipe, I want a dish right now! Ellen |
