I am hosting a party at a hall with a warming kitchen but no stove. I want to have a pasta bar. There will be around 130-150 people. I did this before at my own home, but with a stove. Is there anything that can be rented to warm pasta? I think I should precook very al dente and keep in huge ziplocks with olive oil, then just heat quickly, but with no stove, I'm confused. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated! |

Not a particularly sensible choice with no stove.. why not do a baked potato bar instead, see the baked potato bar page for how to cook and safely hol? Same toppings... |

what is i rented a freestanding induction cooktop or two? are those pretty good? |

They are good, but they don't work with aluminum pots, which is what most of the really big pots and pans are made of. Induction tops only work with pans that can attract a magnet. What could work is baked pastas in sauce that are transported hot in casserole and kept in the warming oven. |
