I need some advice on preparing bratwursts for a crowd. We've got 300 ready for a church event and will need to cook ahead. Better to boil or bake? Any advice on timing and temps would be most welcome!

Have you considered renting some of the roller-style cookers? They make excellent sausages and hold them well.

In the meantime, boiling (actually steaming or simmering) is a better choice for any sausages you intend to hold. See the thread on hot dogs for lots of discussion.
