How much/many yams do I need to serve 150 people. How much should I charge for the preparation? |
ellen 10/31/13 |
about 60 pounds cooked (70 pounds raw) in a casserole prep. I don't do prices, they vary too much by region and prep. Check your local catering posts. |

How much baked versus fried depends on how good your baked chicken is- and the age and health consciousness level of the group. Almost all the kids and teens will choose fried, and somewhere in the range of 1/2 the adults. For 150 people, you need 1 1/2 times the amount for 100. Per 100, with bone in single type pieces you need about 70 pounds, with quarters about 80 pounds, whole chickens or mixed pieces (which include legs, wings breasts and thighs) about 90 pounds; but boneless, skinless, only about 45 pounds. After you get the chicken you can decide how much to fry. The yams are just as above. |
