How long will it take to roast a 18 lb frozen turkey in a 18 quart Nesco roaster? I read that roasting a frozen turkey is a better way to go tha trying to thaw it. |

Preheat roaster thoroughly, at least 20 minutes. The usual instruction is for a 13 pound turkey. The larger turkey takes about 1 1/2 hours longer. Use the directions here: busycooks.about.com/od/thanksgiving/a/cookfrozenturke.htm Minimum removal of the lid, except when taking out the frozen bag of innards. |
