Church fundraiser we are having navy beans, butter and pinto beans. Coleslaw along with jalapeņo and plain corn bread. Donated desserts. Good on all my quantities except for the beans. Planning on 70 lbs of pintos, 50 lbs of both navy and butter What are your thoughts?. Thank you in advance oh we also have a pickle and onion bar. :0) |

If these are dry weights, this is too much; I only do 12 to at most 15 pounds dry per 100 for bean entrees. If this is cooked weight, it is only 4 ounces per person (less than 1/3 can); not enough. I would divide an extra 8 pounds or so among the three to allow some wiggle room on choices. If you have a good collection, please consider a small donation to support this site. Thanks. |

We are having a Veteran's Day dinner at church for approximately 300 people and we want to serve navy beans and cook them in roasters. Any help you can give would be great. Thanks, Theresa |

See beans for 100: www.ellenskitchen.com/bigpots/beans100.html If this is a side dish, about 8 pounds dry per 100 |
