We expect 140-150 people for my daughter's outdoor wedding. We're having a pig roast, potatoes, slaw, biscuits, a salsa appetizer, cheese appetizer, vegetable tray, various homemade cakes and cookies. We thought fresh pineapple and fresh apples would be a nice touch. How many pounds of apples - a small to medium size apple -- for a crowd like this? Also how many fresh pineapples? Thank you!! |

Hi, Susan, While it seems like a good idea, nobody eats fresh apples from buffets. What they do eat, and would be great with this meal, is fried apples, baked apples, or spiced apple/ appl rings. About 1/2 small, or 3-4 ounces per person. A standard pineapple cuts about 40 pieces or 10 spears. Maybe 8 people per pineapple. Enjoy. |
