Our organization is planning to have a benefit dinner. Tickets will be $10 and we want it to be a sit down dinner with service. There will most likely be 60-80 people attending. Any ideas for a menu and still make a profit? |

My service club does chicken & noodle or beef & noodle dinners--we shop around to get the best prices on everything & have 2-3 cooks in charge of cooking up the meat ahead of time. Our menu also includes seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes, cole slaw, & dessert. Beverages--coffee, tea, lemonade, ice water. We make everything from scratch. Try to get as much donated as possible. A couple of other ideas would be to have a silent auction or a raffle that evening. Also, look for teenagers as servers, if possible (lots of teen organizations require service hours). Also, you might consider increasing the number of people who will be coming. If you are going to do all of this work, you might as well maximize your profit. Just a few ideas.... |

Linda, do the spaghetti dinner at the bottom of the spaghetti page, and get some of the items donated. |
