I am cooking for a party for 50 people they are having Baked Cod with lemon butter, roasted Pork loin sliced thin, BBQ chicken white and dark with bone, Baked Ziti and Meatballs, Roasted new potatoes and fresh green bean almondine i am not sure how much Cod to buy or the size of the boneless pork loin and how many pounds of green beans and potatoes

It is very difficult to estimate 4 entrees for 50 people- most caterers recommend 2. Unless you must have it, would you consider dropping at least 1- probably the ziti? Write back.

thanks Ellen we can eliminate the pasta so what they're going to have is the baked cod the pork loin I'm not quite sure how many pounds to get and the chicken I will send 50 pieces of 45 pieces dark and white the green beans I'm not sure how many pounds to get for 50 people I thought it was quite a lot for the amount of people that they're having but I'd rather have more than not enough

Good choice.

Fish, 1 pound per 4 (per 5 if most guests are children or close to the birthday person in age). Plus,
Pork, 1 pound raw boneless per 3.
Your chicken is about right, if using breasts, you might cut 3-4 out of the whole chicken, instead of 2; you need smallish pieces.

Good luck; you will have leftovers, but everyone will get his or her first choice.

If this saves you time, trouble, or money, please make a donation, maybe a dime per guest, to support this site. Thanks.

I forgot about the green beans. You need to end up with about 12 pounds ready to cook, so about 13 pounds before you take the ends off. About 20 pounds of potatoes.
