I am making sausage and peppers and onions for sandwiches. I will cook the sausage and the Peppers and onions separately. Serve peppers and onions from a crockpot and sausage from the electric roaster. This is for those who only want the sausage plain. Finally, my question is how do I keep the cooked sausage warm without drying out in the roaster. Will the fat content help keep it moist. Thanks in advance for your time and expertise! |

Dee, putting them all together keeps everything moist and delicious. I would make one crock full of plain, and all the rest of the sausage and veggies through the roaster. If this saves you time, trouble or money, please, make a donation, maybe a dime per guest, to support this site. Thanks. |
